YB graduate heads to Germany

Our ex U18 captain Eyona Ndondo travelled to Germany for a professional trial.

Our ex academy graduate has spent almost a month on a trial in Germany. He impressed the technical team VFB Luebeck and even made it to the local newspapers.

Eyona spent his U12-18 years with YB before moving on to captaining Cpt City in the diski league and making his debut for the PSL in 2020. He went on to play under the likes of Benni Mccarthy, Roger De Sá and Shaun Bartlett.

Career highlights include:

  • Over 50 appearances scoring 10 and assisting 10 in the NFD
  • Young player of the year, Cape Umoya
  • Promotion to the PSL, Cpt Spurs

All the best representing YB abroad and may this be a lesson to our young ones. Hard work and discipline beat talent, especially if talent does not work hard and have discipline.
