For more than a decade, it has been a vision of Young Bafana to start sending players overseas to gain experience at top European clubs. In October 2023 this vision has become a reality.
Clermont Foot 63 plays in Ligue 1 and has been a partner club of Young Bafana since March 2023 through Core Sports Capital.
Our dream at Young Bafana is to send players to our partner clubs overseas annually and give them the opportunity to train with professional academies in Europe.
Sending players overseas is, however, an expensive goal. We are therefore, now more than ever, in need of donations and monetary support to allow us to give as many players as possible access to these opportunities.
The news of us sending two players overseas was so big that Cape Town TV came to the Young Bafana Arena to interview our founder, Bernd Steinhage, about the process.
