Young Bafana x FC Cologne

To become the best, we want to learn from the best. That's why we are especially excited about our new partnership with the German Pro Club FC Cologne.

Since the middle of 2021, 1. FC Cologne and Young Bafana have recently further expanded their partnership. In addition to a very successful shoe and boot donation campaign and numerous other donations in the form of training equipment, the two clubs are striving to expand the teaching structures of the children as well as workshops and further training for our coaches. With the help of the football school Heinz Flohe of the 1. FC Cologne, coaches, and players will be trained in order to increase the quality of the education at Young Bafana. In addition, FC will provide numerous training videos and online coaching seminars for football development. For the opening of our arena in the spring of this year, we had the pleasure of welcoming Jorge (coach of 1. FC Köln) as our guest of honor here in South Africa.

Looking Back on April – A Month of Learning

In April, our teams gained valuable experience: the U18 squad competed at the Bayhill Tournament with a young lineup, the U12 team impressed at the Salt River Cup, and our education programme in Maths and English for U12 and U14 has resumed. A shared meal prepared by Nyama Choma rounded off the month – with an eye on the future and the goal of continued growth.
