About us:
Founded in 2010 in Somerset West, the Young Bafana Soccer Academy is dedicated to fighting social inequalities caused by poverty in South Africa. Our educational and sports programs have a lasting impact on the lives of our players. We currently support around 240 children, helping them build a better future through high-performance football and academic integration.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning and execution of the CUP OF HOPE 2025, a major football tournament taking place in February 2025 to raise funds for Young Bafana
- Support the football coaches on the field
- Transport players to games and training sessions
- Manage training equipment
- Conduct individual training sessions with players
- Assist with administrative tasks
Your Profile:
- Student status is advantageous but not required
- Passion for sports and football
- Experience in organizing and managing events
- Social commitment and a desire to support young talents
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Good English skills, both written and spoken
- Proactive, hardworking, and independent work style
- Adaptability to new cultures and willingness to live in a shared house with a “hands-on mentality”
- A valid driver’s license
