Febuary 27, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, YB Arena Somerset West

Join us for a warm evening gathering with members of the YB family and CUP OF HOPE participants. Enjoy a traditional South African braai, great conversations, and a chance to connect with the community and supporters alike.

Cup of Hope

Febuary 28, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, YB Arena Somerset West

The main event! Head to the Young Bafana Arena in Somerset West for a spirited day of football, where teams will compete in the highly anticipated CUP OF HOPE tournament. Enjoy familyfriendly activities like a jumping castle, target shooting, a raffle and plenty of delicious food stands. Every activity and donation directly supports Young Bafana’s mission to empower youth through sport and education.

FAQ's

Who benefits from the donations?

Young Bafana is a non-profit organization (NGO) dedicated to the holistic development of children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds in South Africa through a comprehensive football and education program since 2010. Young Bafana e.V. can issue a donation receipt for the tournament participation fee to companies.

How many players are on each team?

Teams consist of 6 field players and 1 goalkeeper. At least one female player must be on the field at all times. Substitutions and substitutes are unlimited, and we encourage teams to wear uniform clothing.

What is the tournament format?

The tournament features 10 teams split into 2 groups of 5. The top two teams from each group advance directly to the semi-finals. Matches last 10 minutes.

Is the tournament and get-together open to the public?

Yes! Spectators are welcome at the tournament. While participation in the tournament is reserved for registered teams, the get-together is open to everyone. Come join us!
