Our ex U18 captain Eyona Ndondo travelled to Germany for a professional trial.
Meet Themba Baka. A boy from the Lwandle township who joined Young Bafana 8 years ago as a little boy.
Two of our most promising players are off to France for the opportunity of a lifetime: training with Clermont Foot 63 for a couple of weeks.
On the 29th of April 2023 made a sensational impact in our inaugural season by clinching the ABC Motsepe League of Western Cape title.
“Prof” is one of our players who excels beyond the pitch. This is his story.
Our YB Pro Team enters the 3rd division of professional soccer in South Africa.
On the 23rd of April 2022 we reached an important milestone: the official opening of our own arena.
At the age of 21, a Young Bafana player becomes a sensation. Eyona Ndondo (nickname: Yoyo) makes his debut in the 1st division of South Africa on August 14, 2020.
In August 2018 Asanda became the first Young Bafana graduate to be equipped with a professional contract in South Africa.
In 2018, the fromer Young Bafana member Keino had the unique opportunity to study at a college in the USA on another scholarship.
We invite you to our charity golf tournament “Swing of Things” on the 29th of November 2024.
Young Bafana once again brought the spirit of celebration to the YB Arena with its much-anticipated Annual Prize Giving Ceremony on the 11th of November.
At the Telekom-Star-Kick event in Bonn, Germany was a big success and Young Bafana ultimately finished 2nd.
After three years of planning, we put the local Girls Football in the spotlight by organizing a three day girls camp with none less than the German soccer pro Julia Simic.
In April, our teams gained valuable experience: the U18 squad competed at the Bayhill Tournament with a young lineup, the U12 team impressed at the Salt River Cup, and our education programme in Maths and English for U12 and U14 has resumed. A shared meal prepared by Nyama Choma rounded off the month – with an eye on the future and the goal of continued growth.
Young Bafana Switzerland was founded to utilize and further develop the strong connection between South Africa and Switzerland.
